Mastro's Ocean Club Elevates San Diego's Dining Scene with Luxurious Steak and Seafood Offerings |
The renowned steakhouse and seafood restaurant debuts its first San Diego location, bringing upscale dining to the waterfront. |
Mastro's Ocean Club has officially opened its doors in downtown San Diego, introducing a new level of luxury to the city's dining landscape.
Located at 901 Bayfront Court, Suite 105, this marks the brand's first foray into San Diego and its tenth establishment in California.
Occupying the expansive two-story space beneath the InterContinental Hotel, previously home to Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Mastro's offers diners breathtaking coastal views paired with an ambiance that seamlessly blends refined elegance and ocean-inspired warmth.
Under the guidance of Executive Chef Jennifer Jones, the kitchen presents Mastro’s signature menu featuring USDA Prime wet-aged steaks, elaborate seafood towers, and an inventive sushi selection curated by Chef Angel Carbajal of Nick-San in Cabo San Lucas.
Notable appetizers include caviar-topped oysters, A5 Wagyu beef carpaccio, jumbo lump crab cakes, and Nueske’s maple-glazed bacon steak.
The sushi menu boasts items like crispy garlic bigeye tuna sashimi and a clear lobster roll.
The steak offerings are among the most diverse in the region, featuring 13 different cuts such as dry-aged Kansas City strip, bone-in ribeye, and Japanese A5 and Australian Wagyu tomahawk chops.
Seafood enthusiasts can indulge in dishes ranging from sautéed sea scallops to herb-roasted branzino, Chilean sea bass, and jerk-spiced mahi mahi.
Complementing the main courses are indulgent sides like lobster mashed potatoes, white cheddar lobster mac & cheese, caviar twice-baked potatoes, wild mushroom and black truffle gnocchi, and garlic truffle cauliflower.
The bar program is equally impressive, offering over 50 wines by the glass, more than 500 spirits, and specialty cocktails, including the signature Cosmo martini.
The Piano Lounge features live entertainment nightly, providing a sophisticated backdrop for guests enjoying drinks before or after dinner.
Designed with an emphasis on ambiance, the restaurant includes an outdoor terrace, intimate lounge areas, and five private dining rooms.
Coastal-inspired décor, warm earth tones, and soft lighting reflect the venue’s waterfront setting and enhance the overall guest experience.
For those planning a visit, Mastro's enforces a strict upscale dress code, prohibiting beachwear, gym attire, athletic apparel, jerseys, hats, beanies, bandanas, ball caps, oversized or baggy clothing, tank tops, and sleeveless shirts.
Additionally, clothing emitting offensive odors is not permitted anywhere on the property.
Admittance is at the discretion of management, who reserves the right to refuse service to patrons who are inappropriately dressed, regardless of reservation status.
Operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
The bar and patio open at 4:00 PM daily.
Reservations are highly recommended to ensure a seamless dining experience.
With its prime location near the Embarcadero and proximity to attractions like Seaport Village and the San Diego Convention Center, Mastro's Ocean Club is poised to become a premier destination for both locals and visitors seeking an unparalleled fine dining experience in the heart of downtown San Diego.
