San Diego County Animal Services is reaching out to the public for help in identifying a suspect believed to be responsible for abusing a dog found in a dumpster.

The dog was severely injured and required immediate veterinary care.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s with a tattoo on his upper arm.

The department is urging anyone with information to come forward to help bring justice to the animal.
